If you are here, it means that you are interested in finding out more about essential oils and their amazing benefits. First, let me tell you not to let the fear of the unknown deter you from trying something different!

I have been on my quest for alternative options for health and well-being for many, many years; and my one regret is that I was not introduced to Young Living Essential Oils sooner!  I mean it! I kind of feel gypped acquiring this information as a grandmother. I could let myself boohoo about it, but it wouldn’t last very long because I would apply some Peace & Calming or Stress Away or Joy oil. No matter which one I chose, I’d be over my pity party in no time.

Anyway, I finally was introduced to YL oils when Dr. Edie showed up at my home one day after hearing that my daughter, Kelly, was suffering with a serious head cold, and I was battling a bit of holiday depression.

What? A doctor who makes house calls? I know. Seriously, we are blessed!

Edie brought a diffuser for us to borrow and loaded us up on Thieves, Purification, and Joy—as well as tea bags infused with oils; and our adventure began. Before she left, I handed her cash money and told her to sign me up—immediately! Looking back, it does sound a bit desperate and it doesn't really work that way, but what she shared resonated with my spirit so much.

I wish I could wow you by telling you that I was able to get off 15 medications since using oils, but the fact of the matter is that I have probably not taken 15 meds in my whole life. Sure, I have aches and pains that come with aging and from injuries resulting from things that I should have had better sense than to try at my age—and I do treat those things with oils—but using oils for those kinds of things is not my oh-my-goodness testimony. My oh-my-goodness testimony is very simple:

Daily application and diffusing of Young
Living Essential Oils make me a happier person.

And why wouldn’t they? Essential oils are one of God’s incredible gifts to us. They work in harmony with His design and support our bodies and spirits in incredible ways. And most of them smell divine.

We are no strangers to medical issues, sports injuries, and grief (and all that comes with it), but we have always pursued a natural remedy before running to modern medicine. In December of 2014, I was suffering from a long-lasting cold that just wasn’t getting better. My body was worn down and was having trouble doing its job of healing. Our Oily Sisterhood founder, Dr. Edie, showed up at my door with a diffuser and an arsenal of essential oils to that support the immune system. I quickly got better, and I was hooked.  And frankly, if all it did for me was smell therapy that would be enough. But it did more.

The more classes I attended, the more I realized the healing properties of oils.

There is the reason God gave them to us.  There was a reason Frankincense and Myrrh were brought to Mary. These oils are as natural as they come, and I can't believe it took me so long to find them--or for them to find me! There were so many times over the years that my family could have benefitted from the added support of essential oils.

Just in case you were thinking I'm totally crazy, I want you to know that I'm not anti-medicine. My youngest has to take medicine for his heart everyday. Our bodies are amazing, though,  and designed for healing, but so often our first response is to reach for drugs.  How much better it is to support our systems instead of suppressing them.

And don’t get me started on the journey of grief.  It is amazing to me the ability a drop of Joy has made on my mental state. Rubbing it on my heart has turned many of my days around.  Life will always be hard, but that drop reminds me of the joy I have in the Lord.
